  1. I'm fairly new tho Applescript, but have been playing around with it to try and speed up my workflow on some software I use for work called Pro Tools. Basically, quite often there is a very monotonous task I need to do, which is cycle through large amounts of 'markers' (200-300+ sometimes) and press V, then K, then move onto the next and repeat.
  2. Pro Tools Ultimate perpetual licenses with an active 1-Year Software Updates & Support Plan get access to 114 plugins (HEAT not included). These plugins are not connected with, or approved or endorsed by, the owners of the Boss, Electro-Harmonix, Fender, Ibanez, Leslie, Maestro, MXR, Pro Co, Ross, Univox, or Xotic names.
  3. Your free trial includes Pro Tools Ultimate, 110+ plugins, a 2 GB high-quality loop library and 1 GB of Collaboration Cloud Storage. Try all of the features.
  4. One area of Pro Tools where RAM really helps is with plugins. The more plugins you have, the more RAM you need to keep your computer from slowing down. Avid recommends a minimum of 8GB of RAM but you should shoot for at least 12GB or 16GB since it will only cost about $15-$25 more and you'll see a huge performance increase.

If a key combination doesn't work

If a key combination doesn't work at startup, one of these these solutions might help: https://cooljload834.weebly.com/pimp-your-screen-2-2-download-free.html.

  • Be sure to press and hold all keys in the combination together, not one at a time.
  • Shut down your Mac. Then press the power button to turn on your Mac. Then press and hold the keys as your Mac starts up.
  • Wait a few seconds before pressing the keys, to give your Mac more time to recognize the keyboard as it starts up. Some keyboards have a light that flashes briefly at startup, indicating that the keyboard is recognized and ready for use.
  • If you're using a wireless keyboard, plug it into your Mac, if possible. Or use your built-in keyboard or a wired keyboard. If you're using a keyboard made for a PC, such as a keyboard with a Windows logo, try a keyboard made for Mac.
  • If you're using Boot Camp to start up from Microsoft Windows, set Startup Disk preferences to start up from macOS instead. Then shut down or restart and try again.

Remember that some key combinations are disabled when your Mac is using a firmware password.
